Where are we from?

We come from an era of a globalised economy and an information revolution. It is now possible to use international labour to produce the same high quality standard, and to communicate with workers in any corner of the world. This means that complicate jobs can be divided into different sections, and be done by different people in different countries.

All of these advanced global and technological techniques are used by Early Bird Printing during their printing process. We use the Internet to transfer our artwork internationally and receive back completed designs. We have the ability to instruct international labour what to print and the finished quality product is shipped back to the Australian customer all with the lower overseas price.

Our goal

Our goal is to provide Australian commercial customers with the best printing and service combined with the most reasonable prices. We will help small and medium businesses, who normally don't have the printing volumes to secure a discounted rate, and obtain the same preferential price on printed goods as the larger companies.

How can we achieve this?

Several factors are taken into account to help us achieve our goal.

1. Time; when will the customer need the printed material?
2. Usage; how and when will the customer use the printed material?
3. Quality; what type of quality is required?
4. Price; what is the customers' budget?
5. Service; what support can customers get from suppliers?

Time and usage is not the same thing. How you use the material and when you need to use it can have a large effect on the price. To illustrate:

Local suppliers could produce 200 business cards within 2 hours and may cost around AUD$90.00. However, if the same cards were not required urgently they may cost AUD$60.00 but the customer wouldn't get them for a week or two. Early Bird Printing can offer another alternative; if customer can wait 3 weeks, they may only pay AUD$25.00 or less.

On the usage side; if a customer uses 200 business cards in a year, (a monthly average usage of 20) and doesn't need the 200 urgently then why pay high prices due to the time restriction, use the 20 and leave 180 "expensive" cards on the shelf for the rest of the year? A three week lag time will realize a drop from $90 to $25. At Early Bird Printing our aim is to give our customers a chance to save money by using time after determining their usage.

As far as quality is concerned, Early Bird Printing use a series of quality control procedures to ensure top quality every time. Our controls include paper samples, colour proof, standard colour formula books and so on.

Overseas prices can be strongly competitive. Early Bird Printing provides our customers with prices on a range of alternatives for each printing job we quote. For an example, when we quote on 200 business cards, we may also provide a price on 100 and 400, plus a laminated price. Customers can then make a final decision based on a range of options.

   Because our products come from overseas, our prices can be very competitive. For most orders the savings is nearly 50% compared to local printers. In addition, we can offer low prices for the small order quantity, for an example, business cards minimum order is from 100.

   All Early Bird Printing consultants have a strong technical background and professional courtesy. They can answer any questions on design and printing. In addition, we provide technical articles on our web site to further support our customers. Our consultants will provide you with paper samples, products samples and a standard colour formula, to help you make the right choice.

   For print accuracy, we provide our customers with a professional paper colour proof to confirm their artwork, which includes full colour pictures. We have a colour formula book to assist our customers choose press and spot colours. Our printers are of top quality and the standard of print is very high.    Even though Early Bird Printing is an online business, we have door to door service. Being an online business means we save on shop rental and labour costs and as a result our overhead expenses remain low. Meanwhile our door to door service gives our customers a friendly two way communication. Our Consultants visit you and will provide expert advice and information and will individually tailor a package for each customer. The final product is then delivered to your door.
